Looky looky, we've got Hooky!

We met up with Peter at Ruby Skye in San Francisco one evening before he DJ'd an amazing show. Our discussions ran well into the set of the opening DJ act, so Peter suggested we continue conversation at his hotel the next day. This was our first encounter with Hooky's DJing skills and we were super impressed. The bass legend? Peter Hook? Spinning? It was HOT! He had some mixes on him that were out of this world. Only his hands could get these mixes. The legend.

The next morning was the continuation of talks about endorsing Peter's newest project Freebass. If you don't know, well now you know. Freebass will consist of the bass work of 3 legends, Hooky, Andy Rourke (the Smiths), and Mani Mounfield (the Stone Roses). They are currently working on an album. It was a great pleasure to sit in on conversation ranging from his family to the demise of New Order which was still fresh on his mind at the time. We can't wait to meet up with him when he comes back into town.
